Who says farmers aren’t great fun!

2010 has been a very successful year, and despite the current financial climate, 2011 is already looking like an even busier year. Here’s to a good year for all!

Over the last few months the band have performed for a host of high profile clients: Ambassadors in Moscow, Film Stars in Scotland, International Sports Stars in Ireland, Retail Businesses in Manchester, Charities in London, Entrepreneurs in Portugal and even been joined live on stage by world famous Popstars.

The band has been fortunate to be the entertainment of choice for some of the most successful individuals in the world. Over the coming months they are looking forward to such future high profile events as weddings in Deia, Majorca and St Tropez and will be traveling all over England and Scotland during the winter months.

Such is the popularity of the band that we have come up with a solution to meet everyone’s needs. Over the last 12 months we have been rehearsing a new band of musicians to cover our unavailability. The musicians were handpicked to match the Bogus Brother’s ethos of ease to deal with, positive attitude, high energy and musical ability.

Now with several high profile events under their belts including jetting off to Banff in Canada for an ING America Sales Conference, a tour with Scouting For Girls with Motiv Action and several other appearances for weddings and charity events across the UK we have decided to promote them as an alternative to Bogus Brothers should we be unavailable or cost prohibitive.

Bogus Brothers 2 will be known as The Tzars so not as to cause confusion to clients when booking.

May proved to be a varied and very busy month for the band, with everything from weddings to corporate events, charity black tie evenings to festivals for 10,000 Dutch fans, Barmitzvahs to Hamburg’s annual city harbour festival - Hafengeburtstag. May once again demonstrated the Bogus Brothers versatility ensuring we are the right band for any occasion.

Tim ‘Posh Bogus’ Loudon the new bass player is settling in well, bringing a new perspective and sense of humour with him. We hope he spends a long and enjoyable time with the band.  We all wish Martin ‘Slej’ Ledger all the best for the future and thanks for all the wonderful times we had with him.

A good couple of days was had in Amsterdam last week and with trips to Prague and Hamburg happening soon, there’s plenty to look forward to. Our highlight of the month was an appearance on the pitch at half-time in the Birmingham City v Manchester United game! A bizarre situation, where there was no time to set up properly so we basically had to run on the pitch and mime to a couple of tracks we’d recorded earlier in the week at Rairview studios in Hull with the wonderful John Spence engineering.  Oh, and there was a second gig to get to after that at the ICC in Birmingham - a pretty full day!
